Visit to the Mariupol Refugee Center.

We visited and brought supplies to the Mariupol Refugee Center. This center helps all the refugees who survived and got out of Mariupol, including my JustAnswer colleague Kateryna Cherniavska’s parents.

Mariupol is a beautiful city by the sea, that Russia pummeled mercilessly. This is the site of the Azovstal steel works, where Russia trapped and murdered many. They also bombed the Mariupol Children’s Hospital and Maternity Ward. It is also the home of the Mariupol Theater, where women and children sheltered. They even wrote in giant letters on the plaza for the Russians to see that there were only women and children here, but Russia bombed and killed them anyway.

As a thank you for our donations and supplies, they gave me a beautiful piece of art depicting the Mariupol Theater before the bombs.
