Delivering Insulin and Diabetes Supplies to Refugees

Meet Yevhen – a JustAnswer employee and refugee from this war. We met up with him in Hungary where he is temporarily living with his wife and young daughter. We are so proud of Jamie, Dr. Lal, and our SF Bay Area diabetes community (Brave Buddies!) for coming together to help Ukrainians with Type 1 Diabetes. Yevhen was running low on insulin and unable to get more outside of Ukraine with his Ukrainian prescription. With the help of the incredible Brave Buddies community, we were able to collect and give him and other refugees much-needed diabetes supplies. We also upgraded Yevhen from 4 shots a day and one blood sugar check a week, to the latest AI artificial pancreas technology.
